Im so unhappy today and i feel like ranting for 1 hr! Rarrr! Well.. thats my habit.. everytime something happens, i have to rant for a few times then i can swallow everything down. So today i was ranting to Jasmine.
It goes like this...
Customer holding a bag of stuffs... standing near the counter while me busy serving other customer at the counter.
Customer to Jasmine: Hey i bought a bag of post-it and my friend dont like it, can i have a refund?
Jasmine: We cannot give u a refund but we can allow u to exchange for items that add up to what u want to refund.
Customer: Huh? Cannot refund?? But my friend dont want it? Then i cant refund what am i suppose to do? I bought a lot of post-it lei...
Me (Looking at the number of post-it she bought... damn omg.. its like 7 to 8 of them) : Sorry... actually we dont refund goods sold but we will exchange goods that are damage. If u dont like ur items, at most i can allowed u is to exchange one item.
Customer: Huh that is so disappointing.. Can u call ur boss or supervisor so that i can speak to her?
This time i want to explode already... so i call my supervisor... gosh.. cant reach her.. dunno what to do.. no choice but call lao ban niang...
Bla bla bla.. Lao ban niang say cannot... so back to the customer...
Me: Sorry i cant reach my supervisor but i call the boss.. the boss say we cannot exchange/refund goods and its stated in our receipt. This is a company rule and we cant break it.
Customer: HUH? Really no choice huh... u all just let me exchange la... if not also wasted...
This time supervisor called... i go bla bla bla... told her this damn customer wanted to refund 7 post-it. Luckily just like what i expect, supervisor say cannot exchange so many. Phew.. thank god.
So in the end... only allow her to exchange 3 post-it. Kudos to my supervisor! Only she can handle this kind of problem... or should i say all kind of problems?
As we cannot give her refund, Jasmine and i ask her to choose items to add up to the amount that she want to refund. She started choosing... In the end, she picked up a 22.90 bag and a red pen.
Customer: Can u give me a new piece for this bag?
Me (Thinking hard... dont feel like giving her... ): k... give me a min.
Back with new piece of bag,
Me: Could you please check the bag to see if there is any problem with it? (trying very hard to give a smile~~~)
Customer: Can you help me check ?
Me: Sorry... its best if you can check your own cuz if you come back and tell me that this good is faulty, i wont take the responsibililty. (ok.. i know im abit straight forward here....)
Customer (Abit unreluctant) : ok.. cuz i dont do this kind of thing.
Me: Its best to check first.. cuz GOODS SOLD ARE NOT REFUNDABLE/EXCHANGEABLE. (yes i reminded her one more time)
Seriously... this is the worse encounter with customer i ever faced. And she still dare to tell the supervisor that i sound angry? Wth... ppls who know me knows i have a high endurance % ok! Even though i cant deny i am very angry, i told myself to remember the fact that customer is always right..
Seriously.. i dont know why.. After being posted to this outlet facing all some of these damanding customer, i am out of breath! I dont even know why i got so angry for... i only knew that i do not want to make any exception for any customer to exchange goods sold.. cuz if just one customer did that, then out of that 10 customer surely 8 of them will want to exchange goods sold! Imagine everyone started passing around... Go XXX shop to buy stuffs, go buy first if u are afraid that it will be sold out.. afterall XXX shop can exchange goods if you or your friends dont like it.
When i work in AMK or JPT outlet, no matter how demanding the customer is, i can still endure. Even if they ask me to take out all the plastic just to see the products they want to buy, i will do it willingly cuz this is a customer rights to buy good products..
And if the customer want to exchange goods cuz the goods is faulty, i will allowed him/her to exchange as well cuz then again, its customer rights to have good products isnt it?
Ok.. Enough of ranting.. Do u ppls think that i should not react so angry? Like why should i be right... Tml is my off day so i will take some time to think about my habit today.. I will be back with my smiley face to give good customer service to the customers on Thurs.
Yanting Yanting... pls remember in ur head that CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!
I have lower endurance rate now and thats a fact.
