Suzhou!

Went to Suzhou on Saturday. Took a train around 10 plus and was deciding Sh and wt was wondering how to go when suddenly there this 2 foreigners with their China friend was talking to each other of where to go in Suzhou too. Then suddenly dont know from where... there was this so called tour guide who said she can bring them around. In the end we end up joining them so we can visit the places of interest in Suzhou. From foreign student to tourists!! So hilarious~~~ Haha.... Have to pay 15rmb for tour group fee. Then followed the so called tour guide who guide us to take a mini bus. Then she hand us to a another tour guide who took us around to all these places. Then we became friends with the 2 foreign people and the lady from China too!

Our first place we went is 古城河水上游览. Sat a boat where there is one uncle explaining about the various places that we will see. Saw Suzhou University and a prison side by side in which dont know which historical person stay in sia... forgot already! He speak so fast in chinese that the words almost sound foreign to me! Anyway its a nice boat ride! Althought not really very cheap for one boat ride like this! Bought 2 sets of poker cards which have scenery of the surrounding places. It cost 10 bucks which i find that it's acceptable.

Went to the silk factory after that. Was hoping to buy something make of silk back. Heard from the tour guide that there is silk handkerchief which cost only 10 rmb but i never see any of that! The cheapest silk thing costs 100+ rmb! Oh my god... It was a silk factory, mass producing silk products... shouldnt it be cheaper instead? Thats weird! Anyway still it wasnt as bad since i manage to see how silk was being separated from the cocoon, the manufacturing of silk products and even touch silk to feel the softness. So sad that i dont have the money to buy silk things.

Have lunch after the visit to silk factory. Before that i was trying silk Qipao. Awww.... cannot fit in so no photos taken. Worse still make 5 people wait for us to board the bus to go eat lunch... so embarassing! The lunch cost 15 rmb and its super not worth it. The food was not nice at all and therefore its considered as expensive!!

3rd place that we visit is the feng bridge in chinese is 枫桥风景名胜区. There's many different types of bridges and there is some of the scenery in which actor and actress act in but i was not paying much attention to the tour guide as i was busy taking photos! Not much to describe this place. Can only say that its a place with many bridges and river. (forgot to upload photos for this place!)

The last place we visited is a temple called 北塔报恩寺. Photos taking are restricted except the big buddha outside. It's a very nice temple with many contributions made by the people. Then Lesley, Wt and I went in where a monk start chanting and say that we can pray for our families and thanks our parents for their upbringing etc... after chanting, he give us joss sticks to burn it so as to fullfill our wishes but at the same time he want us to make a donation. Its not that we are stingy and dont want to donate... but it feels weird when the monk keep repeating the same thing over and over again and we were not told that we need to pay. Then when we return the joss sticks and walk off, he say you are being infillial to your parents stuff like this!! Oh my god... it's a super bad experience....

Went to shop around the city area after that. Bought a dress and 2 pairs of jeans. Became broke after that. Didnt want to buy anything one but was tempted to do so. Feel super bored so went to find sh and wt. They thought of going back to wuxi as their friend Lf couldnt come over to Su zhou as her experiment ended quite late and she will be alone in hostel at night. At that moment, i feel that they are so sweet!! I start wondering if lesley would do the same for me... Lesley and I followed back too cuz it was inconvinient for her to sleep in other places while i go along since i still prefer my bed in hostel. Bought the 11 plus train tickets as there was no other available timing. Sat at KFC to eat and slack awhile waiting for the time to pass. Reach hostel near 1 am... LOL!! Cant find my room key somemore.. even worse.. and since the hostel entry door was locked, i have to call the uncle to pass me the master key to open my door! Feel so shagged after the running up and down! Hope the new lift is ready soon or it will be tiring to climb up and down 5th floor every time. There will be higher chance that i drop it in Suzhou. Feel so sad losing my keys!
